Slippy V Crescent
This delightful colorwork shawl is knit top-down with four shades of fingering weight yarn plus a fifth accent color in lace weight mohair silk. Begin with a larger short row triangle using Westknits Shortcut Rows. Then continue with simple stripes and a mesmerizing slip stitch pattern that is very easy to knit. This pattern is beginner friendly with easy stitches and clear instructions. The mohair slip stitch v’s float on top of the fabric, adding a delicate whimsy to the crescent shaped shawl. The border is knit in garter stitch with a picot bind off.
